Legal
Terms
This page is a template prepared for review by an Australian legal adviser before the site goes live. It describes the intended process.
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any enquiry you make through it. The central point is simple: Garage Door Repair Gold Coast is an enquiry and referral service, not a repairer.
1. Our role
Garage Door Repair Gold Coast receives garage door repair enquiries for the Gold Coast, Queensland, qualifies them, and may refer them to a suitable independent local service provider. We are an intermediary.
We do not attend properties, inspect doors, diagnose faults, supply parts, quote, perform repairs or install doors. We hold no trade licence for garage door work and we do not act as an agent for any provider.
2. No diagnosis, quote or advice
Nothing on this website is a diagnosis or a quote. A garage door can only be assessed properly in person by a suitable provider.
The explanatory content on this website — symptom guidance, component explanations, cost factors, repair-versus-replace material and maintenance information — is general information only. It is not a diagnosis of your door, not a quote, and not a substitute for an inspection by a suitable provider. It does not take account of your particular door, its installation, its condition or the manufacturer's instructions for it.
Where this site discusses maintenance, the instructions supplied with your own door and opener take precedence, including any conditions that affect a warranty.
3. Safety information
Safety guidance on this site is deliberately limited to keeping people and property clear of a door that may be unsafe and avoiding actions that make a situation worse. It does not, and will not, instruct you in spring tensioning, cable reattachment, lifting an unbalanced door, bypassing a safety system or electrical work.
In an emergency involving injury, fire or an electrical hazard, contact the appropriate emergency service on 000 before contacting anyone about the door.
4. Referral and provider responsibility
Garage Door Repair Gold Coast takes the enquiry and may pass it to a suitable independent local provider. That provider is responsible for its own quote, credentials, licensing, work, warranties and service delivery. We cannot promise that a provider will accept every enquiry.
Where an enquiry is referred:
- any contract for the work is between you and that provider, not with us;
- the provider sets its own price, terms, timing and scope;
- the provider is responsible for its own licences, insurance and credentials;
- the provider is responsible for the quality of its work and for any warranty it offers;
- the provider is responsible for its own invoicing and dispute handling.
You are entitled — and encouraged — to verify a provider's credentials for the specific scope of work before engaging them. The QBCC publishes a register of licensed contractors in Queensland. Licence requirements depend on the actual work, so scope should be assessed rather than assumed.
5. No guarantee of acceptance or availability
Making an enquiry does not create any obligation on us to refer it, or on any provider to accept it. No response time, arrival time, attendance window, availability, price or outcome is promised anywhere on this site.
If a suitable provider cannot be confirmed, we will tell you so that you can make other arrangements. Where the situation is urgent or unsafe, do not wait on an enquiry — take the steps needed to keep people and property safe.
6. Service areas
Lead intake is approved across the suburbs listed on this site. That is where enquiries are accepted, not a promise that a provider is available in a given suburb at a given time.
Listing a suburb is not a claim of a branch, an office, a depot, local staff or guaranteed availability in that suburb.
7. Calls and messages
If a call to Garage Door Repair Gold Coast is not answered, an automated assistant may send a service-related SMS to continue the enquiry you started. It identifies itself, asks only about the garage-door job, and stops immediately if you reply STOP. It is a follow-up to your call, not a marketing subscription.
By calling, you accept that a service-related SMS may be sent in response to a missed call. You can stop it at any time by replying STOP. How enquiry information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
8. Images and website content
Photographs on this site are representative illustrations of garage-door components and work contexts. They are not photographs of a specific job, customer, employee, vehicle or premises.
Content on this website is provided in good faith and reviewed for accuracy, but it may become out of date, and products, standards and manufacturer instructions change. Where an external source is cited, that source controls.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use this website to:
- make a false, misleading or abusive enquiry;
- submit another person's details without their authority;
- interfere with the operation or security of the site;
- extract content in bulk for republication;
- breach any applicable law.
10. Intellectual property
The text, layout, design system and photographic assets on this website are the property of the site operator or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. You may not republish substantial portions commercially without permission.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the general information on this site, from any act or omission of an independent provider, or from an enquiry not being accepted or referred.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
12. Third-party links
This site links to manufacturer, regulator and government resources for evidence. Those sites are not under our control, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific material cited.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated, particularly if the operating model changes — for example if the site were operated directly by a verified service business rather than as a referral service. A change of that kind would require a coordinated rewrite of this page, the Privacy Policy, the How It Works page and the claims made across the site.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised by phone using the number on the Contact page. The legal operating entity, its registered details and a postal address are pending verification and will be published before the site goes live.
