The exact scope is the attending provider's call. This is the usual shape of the work.

  • Measuring the existing spring — wire size, inside diameter, length and wind direction — or weighing the door to size a replacement correctly.
  • Releasing the remaining tension safely with winding bars before anything is removed.
  • Replacing the spring or springs, and inspecting the cables, drums and bearings while the shaft is accessible.
